Scholar Quick Start Series: Assignments
(Academic)
This workshop assumes you have created a site (Course or Project) and have a basic familiarity with Scholar, a robust learning and collaboration system which offers tools for teaching and learning, research and collaboration, and ePortfolio assessment/accreditation projects. This abbreviated hands-on workshop provides you with "only what you need to know" in Scholar. Time will be spent to learn how to create Assignments in Scholar. Advantages and the full set of features will be discussed including the ability to grade files online or offline, using a spreadsheet for grading, quickly returning files to students, and the ease of adding due dates to the class calendar, sending out related announcements, and section/group abilities.
Pre-requisite: "Scholar: Quick-Start Site Setup", "Scholar Overview" (any) or previous experience with using Scholar.
NOTE: Please bring your course files in digital format that you may wish to work with. (USB "thumb" drives are highly recommended, but other computer media may also be supported.) More information...
