Sonia Nieto, Professor Emerita of Language, Literacy,
and Culture, School of Education at the University of
Massachusetts-Amherst, has authored many books on
diversity schooling, including Affirming Diversity: The
Sociopolitical Context of Multicultural Education, is one of
the most influential books on the subject.
