Experience the irresistible flavors of Asia with the recipes of chef Mai Pham at this chef demonstration and tasting in celebration of women chefs. Chicken and Beef Pho Noodle Soup and Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi will be served from "food trucks" after a cooking demonstration by the staff of Owens Food Court and Hokie Grill & Co. Mai Pham is the chef owner of the nationally acclaimed Lemon Grass Restaurant in Sacramento, California. She is also the creator of Lemon Grass Kitchen, a line of Asian gourmet cooking sauces. Her newest restaurant, Star Ginger Asian Grill & Noodle Bar, blends the bold simplicity of Asian street food with exotc flavors drawn from the cuisines of Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore, and has franchised food trucks on university campuses. Mai is the author of several cookbooks on Vietnamese and Thai cooking, and is a frequent guest chef instructor at the Culinary Institute of America. More information...
