The Biomedical Technology Development and Management Program is sponsoring an Industry Experts Seminar featuring J. Paul Waymack, M.D., Sc.D., who will discuss
Investigational New Drug (IND) Applications, and Peter C. Hoyle, Ph.D., who will discuss An Introduction to Designing Nonclinical Toxicity Studies .
These talks will provide an in-depth look at the Federal Drug Administration's process for investigational new drug (IND) applications and preclinical toxicology testing. Topics addressed will include pharmacology, clinical trials, adverse event reporting, and alternative IND pathways such as compassionate use. They will also review common pitfalls that companies encounter in their toxicology testing and practical advice to help avoid such mistakes.
