Celebrate 150 Years of Land-Grant Universities
(Special Event)
In July 1862 Abraham Lincoln signed the Morrill Act into law and revolutionized higher education in the United States by creating the land-grant university system.
Join Senior Vice President and Provost Mark McNamee at a reception and exhibit opening honoring this important milestone in American history.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
Julie Speer, associate dean for research and informatics at the University Libraries, and Stephen O'Hara, a recent graduate in American history, will also give brief remarks. More information...
