Art History Presentations at the Taubman
(College of Architecture and Urban Studies)

Virginia Tech art history students will present their findings on in-depth research they have done on works of art in the Taubman Museum of Art's collection from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a keynote presentation by visiting scholar Justin Wolff on "The Cotton Pickers" by painter Thomas Hart Benton.

Wolff recently published an acclaimed biography on the artist, and he will be discussing his insights on this specific work through the lenses of race and labor in America.

The presentations are free and open to the public, but space is limited, so an RSVP is requested at 540-342-5760.
