International Latin American American Music Conference Keynote Lecture

Dr. Geoff Baker will deliver the keynote address for the ILAMC. Virginia Tech's First Annual International American Music Conference will take place Feb. 22-23. Entitled "Transcending Borders: Latin American Music and its Projection on to a World Stage," this project has been undertaken in order to advance the field of ethnomusicology as it relates to Latin American music and culture, to promote promote personal and professional relationships amongst the scholars within this field, and to provide research and performance opportunities for students in an area that is underrepresented in this state and region.
