3rd Annual Advising Matters Conference

On behalf of the Office of the Vice President and Dean for Undergraduate Education, we are excited to extend to you an invitation to attend Virginia Tech's third annual academic advising conference, Advising Matters, to be held at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center on campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, March 8, 2013.
At a time when budgets and personnel are stretched thin, the Advising Matters Conference is designed to be an economical way to offer access to a quality advising professional development opportunities. The conference will be a one-day event including a keynote presented by Dr. Peter Doolittle, Director of the Virginia Tech Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research (CIDER), concurrent sessions, and other activities with the goal of enhancing advising knowledge and skills for faculty and staff at Virginia Tech while also increasing effectiveness of our advising programs.
There is a minimal fee for registration ($25 VT affiliated, $50 non-VT affiliated, VT undergraduate and graduate students - scholarships available). However, space is limited to the first 150 registrants. Registration deadline is February 22, 2013. More information...
