Community Partnering as a Strategy for Engaged Teaching and Scholarship : The concept of engagement has emerged as a priority objective across universities. The purpose of this workshop is to lead faculty in thinking about and designing community engagement components that enrich their own experience of teaching as well as enhance their scholarly work. This workshop also invites participants to reexamine their traditional views of knowledge, and to thereby discover how epistemic perspectives are enlarged when community enters the picture.
