Breast Cancer Survivor to Share Story

The American Cancer Society estimates that nearly 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Hokie Wellness wants all employees to understand the importance of mammograms and early detection in the fight against breast cancer.
"Women's Health: Breast health and the importance of mammograms" is open to all employees and will feature retired Virginia Tech faculty member, Janet Sawyer, who will share her personal journey to becoming a breast cancer survivor.
The program will be Wednesday, March 20, at 12:10 p.m. in room 142 at the Southgate Center building. Registration is required and may be done by going to training.vt.edu.
