Ralph Robbins, Executive Director, Virginia Israel Advisory Board, Office of the Governor, will discuss current business challenges and business relations between Israel and Virginia. Robbins seeks to promote economic development in Virginia by facilitating the entry of Israeli companies into the U.S. via a presence in Virginia. Successful programs include establishing the Virginia Israel Bio Sciences Commercialization Center at the Virginia BioTechnology R&D Park in Richmond, where nine Israeli companieshave located for purposes of entering the US market. He has also established programs in areas where both Virginia and Israel have comparable strengths including telecommunications/IT, and HLS/Defense and Agrotech. He works closely with other Virginia agencies as well as various universities including Virginia Tech. Sponsored by MBA Association.
