Virginia Tech's Lavender Ceremony recognizes lesbian, gay, transgender, and bisexual students and their allies who are receiving their undergraduate or graduate degree. This special celebration honors students from all majors and disciplines, and traditionally occurs two days before spring commencement. Graduates receive a unique rainbow cord that can be worn with pride with their academic regalia.
