Seminar description: Peer review of teaching is a vital part of maintaining the well-being of an academic institution, and it is also consistent with the processes and practices of scholarly activities in which faculty engage. Its core purpose is to improve the quality of the instructional enterprise while cultivating a culture of learning and instructional improvement. Peter and Danielle present thoughtful strategies and helpful suggestions for both the reviewer(s) and reviewee.
Peter Doolittle is the Executive Director, Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research (CIDER), Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning, and Professor, Educational Psychology, Department of Learning Sciences and Technologies.
Danielle Lusk is an Assistant Director of CIDER, and heads up the peer review of teaching program.
