Intersectionality 101
(VTC)
In this session of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine's Diversity Lunch and Learn series, participants will be introduced to the concept of intersectionality and will explore how we are influenced by interdependent forms of privilege and oppression. With the help of experiential exercises, this training will allow us to examine how the interaction of our different social locations (e.g. race/ethnicity, indegeneity, gender, class, sexuality, geography, age, disability/ability, migration status, religion) impacts our ideas, beliefs, and behaviors.
Lunch will be provided. Registration is required by going to http://tinyurl.com/VTCSOM-DDI-Feb2316. More information...
