Data Science for the Public Good Summer Research Forum
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
The Data Science for the Public Good (DSPG) program engages young scholars in finding solutions to some of the most pressing social issues of today. These fellows conduct research at the intersection of statistic, computation, and the social sciences to determine how information generated within every community can be leveraged to improve quality of life.
At this forum, students in the summer 2016 DSPG program will be presenting their research on a variety of issues facing our sponsors through posters.
Sallie Keller, director of the Social and Decision Analytics Laboratory, will give opening remarks and introductions.
Chris Barrett, professor of computer science and executive director of the Biocomplexity Institute of Virginia Tech, will be the keynote speaker.
You can join this event via WebEx. Details on WebEx and more information about DSPG can be accessed from link below.
