Virginia Tech Maker Festival
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
Enjoy a day of family fun at the Virginia Tech Maker Festival!
Demonstrations throughout the day will showcase the broad range of inventiveness in the northern Virginia community. The newly opened Virginia Tech Qualcomm Thinkabit Lab, TechShop, First Robotics, X-Bots, and the Nuclear Science and Engineering Lab (NSEL) at Virginia Tech are all participating in the event.
Don't miss the 150 lb. robot and get a robot driver's license!
3-D printing, art bots, LED throwies, paper making, and squishy circuits are just a sampling of the many hands-on activities at the festival.
Food will be available for purchase from popular food trucks including Famous Dave's, Captain Cookie, and Farm Effect.
The Maker Festival is being held in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Week of Science, Sept. 30 to Oct. 8, and is sponsored by Virginia Tech National Capital Region and 4-H.
