Season Opener: Celebrating Popular favorites
Guest musicians Amadi Azikiwe, viola, and Samuel Suggs, double Bass, will join the Avanti Ensemble (David Ehrlich, Benjamin Wyatt, and Teresa Ehrlich) in a chamber music concert, performing some of the most popular works in the literature.
The program opens with the brilliant "Gypsy" Piano Trio by Haydn, followed by Gabriel Faure's most popular chamber music work, String Quartet Op. 15 in C Minor, and ends with Schubert's very famous "Trout' Piano Quintet (The fourth movement is a theme and variation based on his incredible song of the same name.
Amadi has been here many times, and we welcome Mr. Suggs for his first performance on VT campus. It promises to be a very entertaining concert.
