  VPI in WWI Exhibit
(Special Event)

The "VPI in World War One" project, a collaboration between the History Department and the University Libraries, is an online project and database dedicated to the lives of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (today called Virginia Tech) alumni who served in the First World War.

A week-long digital exhibit featuring research about these VPI WWI soldiers by Virginia Tech students and faculty will be on display in Newman Library during the week of November 7-11, 2016 leading up to Veterans Day, and an exhibit reception will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 11am. First-year history majors from the History Departments First Year Experience course taught by Dr. Trudy Becker will be on hand to talk about their research into the VPI students and alumni who served in the First World War.
