Musica Viva Presents: Rolston String Quartet

This is a very special concert, presenting the new first prize winners of the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition. The Rolston String Quartet is currently the graduate string quartet at Rice University, they have wonderful reviews, and very busy schedule as a result of winning this top competition. Musica Viva was very lucky in finding a free date in the intensive travel schedule of this group and secured the Moss Arts Center for a performance of very popular string quartets by Mozart, Beethoven and Ravel. This program will show the different styles, ensemble skills, and virtuosity that this young, promising quartet demonstrates in their performances.
