Gerard Toal Book Discussion: Near Abroad
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)

In "Near Abroad," Gerard Toal, professor at the Virginia Tech School of Public and International Affairs in the National Capital Region, moves beyond the polemical rhetoric that surrounds Russia's interventions in Georgia and Ukraine to study the underlying territorial conflicts and geopolitical struggles.

Toal will discuss his book at The George Washington University's Institute for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies.

The event is co-sponsored by the Center on Global Interests and the Kennan Institute.
