  From Appennini to Appalachi: Oral Histories of Italian Americans in the Appalachian Coalfields

A Research Presentation by Enrico Grammaroli, Visiting Scholar in Residence and Ph.D. Candidate from Tor Vergata, University of Rome

This talk will examine an understudied aspect of the great migration - the movement of 200,000 Italians to the Appalachian coalfields between the end of the 19th century and WWII. The talk will consider their impact and oral histories.
