The Invisible Presence: Poverty, Class, and Socioeconomic Status in Community

The impact of poverty, class, and socioeconomic status on a functioning civil society has moved to the forefront of public dialogue, but how does that translate into our own backyards? In this workshop, we will explore the demographic realities of the New River Valley, Blacksburg, and Virginia Tech communities and analyze the impact that poverty, class, and socioeconomic status already have on our existing working environments.
