Weekend Service Trip: focus on refugee rights & resettlement
(Service)
[SIGN UP BY OCT. 27] In 2016, approximately 85,000 refugees were admitted into the United States. Refugee is a status within the U.S. government that is granted to individuals who are of special humanitarian concern to the U.S. Participants will gain a better understanding of terms and policies surrounding refugees, and how community organizations support individuals and families experiencing the resettlement process.
On a VT Engage weekend immersion trip, you'll serve a cause that matters to you, dive more deeply into social justice issues through reflection, and meet other students passionate about questioning and serving.
The cost of the trip is $30, which covers transportation, food, and housing. Need-based scholarships are available. All applicants will be considered. More information...
