The University Exemplary Department or Program Awards reception will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 4:00pm-5:30pm in Latham Ballroom CDEF at The Inn at Virginia Tech.

At the reception, the following departments will be recognized for effectively engaging students in hands on, minds on instructional environments.

- Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management
- Department of Geosciences
- Department of Sustainable Biomaterials

The University Exemplary Department or Program Awards recognize the work of departments and/or programs that maintain exemplary teaching and learning environments for students and faculty.
