  Black Liberation Talk: Cultural Impacts of Body Image on the Black Community  
(Special Event)

The Black Liberation Talk series at the Black Cultural Center of Virginia Tech creates space to eat and discuss timely, pop-culture and social-justice related issues relating to the Black Community led by faculty, professors and community members. For Body Matters Week, we will explore body image issues and ideals within the black community and talk about the intersections of race, culture, and mental health. Dr. Charlotte Amenkhienan and Dr. Virginia Jones of the Cook Counseling Center will lead the discussion. Free lunch will be served.
