Art Exhibit; What Color is Water?
(Arts)
Since April 2016, Perspective Gallery's Art Reach program has collected paintings on 9 x 9 inch paper that consider the question, "What Color is Water?."
Designed as a socially engaged art project the question prompts awareness of what effects water quality. The exhibit includes a wide range of styles, including the first art of two-year olds, to the art of well-known regional artists. The installation promises to be unique and thought-provoking.
As national attention has turned to the issue of water quality in our cities, this project is designed to encourage our youngest citizens, guided by Virginia Tech students, to become viscerally connected to our most valuable resources, water.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 12 - 9 p.m.; Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. Closed during authorized campus closings and during academic breaks.
We will host a closing reception, with a guest speaker June 1 during the Water Justice Summit being held at Virginia Tech. More information forthcoming. More information...
