  Robes, Burning Crosses, & the Flag: The Artifacts of White Supremacy  
(Academic)

Please join the Dept. of Religion & Culture and the Virginia Tech Center for the Humanities as we welcome Dr. Kelly J. Baker to Virginia Tech. Dr. Baker holds a PhD in Religious Studies from Florida State and is the author of THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THE KLAN (2011), as well as, 3 other books. Her writing has also appeared in the NY Times, the Atlantic, The Rumpus, the Washington Post, and Religion Dispatches, among many other venues.
Her lecture here at VT will focus on the materials aspects of white supremacy both in early 20th century and in its moment of resurgence today.
