Join John Matel, Tree Farmer and president of the Virginia Tree Farm Foundation, and fellow woodland owners, for a tour of his Brunswick County Tree Farm. Learn about managing longleaf pine with fire and converting a mature loblolly pine forest to longleaf pine. Short presentations on what it means to be a Tree Farmer and how to pass your land and your legacy on to the next generation will follow the tour. The evening will wrap up with a homemade BBQ dinner.
