More than 400 new cadets who make up the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets incoming Class of 2022 will participate in New Cadet Week from Aug. 11-17 on campus.

New Cadet Week training will begin at 6:45 a.m. daily and will continue throughout the day throughout campus, particularly on the Drillfield and Upper Quad areas. Cadets may be seen with demilitarized (no firing pin) rifles.

On Friday, Aug. 17, cadets will participate in a regimental run around the Drillfield at 6 a.m. Early morning drivers should use caution when navigating the area.
