Marketing, nutrition, labor, health, weather, reproduction, heifer development....so many things to
take into consideration with managing our herds. We must consider all of these topics when it comes
to deciding if spring or fall calving is the best for our operation.
To build off our discussion of defined calving seasons last month, Morgan Paulette and I will be discussing the
pros and cons of spring versus fall calving. Morgan is the ANR Agent in Pulaski County.
