VTPD Hot Dog Fundraiser for Special Olympics
(Special Event)
All members of the Virginia Tech community are invited to attend the Virginia Tech Police Department's annual hot dog luncheon on May 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, which will be held at the Public Safety Building at 330 Sterrett Drive, will benefit Special Olympics Virginia.
Each $5 meal includes two hot dogs, chips, dessert, and a drink. Additional items may also be purchased separately.
Volunteers from across the university donate the individually wrapped baked goods to complete the meals. During the event, volunteers also help roll, bun, and wrap the hot dogs as they are made.
Parking is available in the Southgate and Coliseum Lots (with the appropriate parking permits).
This is one of several events Virginia Tech Police hosts each year to raise funds for charitable causes. The department also sells candy bars throughout the year to benefit Special Olympics Virginia.
