  Understanding Artificial Intelligence
(Special Event)

Once just the domain of imaginative stories, artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology greatly influencing how we work, the products we buy and how our society flourishes.

Join Dr. Kendall Giles, assistant professor of practice in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, as we discuss what it means when we say "AI."
Dr. Giles will present examples of ways that AI can help us, along with challenges with AI that we should think carefully about as we rush to build super robots and intelligent
devices.

Event is FREE and will be held at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center. Visit bit.ly/vtsnacks to reserve your spot by June 24.
