A recent fellow at Harvard's Shorenstein Center and current Lipman Fellow at Columbia, Mr. Serwer is a staff writer at THE ATLANTIC and author of numerous essays dissecting the culture and politics of 21st-century America. He won the 2019 Hillman Prize for Opinion Journalism
