Infectious Disease Modeling faculty candidate seminar: "Of MRSA and Metapopulations: Epidemiology, Ecology and Hospital Infection Control"
(Seminar/Conference)
The Department of Population Health Sciences invites you to a seminar presentation by Dr. Eric Lofgren, a faculty candidate in Infectious Disease Modeling.
Currently an assistant professor in the Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health at Washington State University, Dr. Lofgren will present "Of MRSA and Metapopulations: Epidemiology, Ecology and Hospital Infection Control."
The presentation will be aired via Zoom (https://virginiatech.zoom.us/j/574323494), and a recording will be available upon request.
Dr. Lofgren, who earned an MSPH and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was previously at Virginia Tech as a postdoctoral associate at the Bioinformatics Institute, Network Dynamics and Simulation Science Laboratory. His research interests include computational and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, with a focus on hospital epidemiology, as well as emerging, enteric, and respiratory pathogens.
