Imagining the Electric Power Grid in 2030
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)
Ten years from now, the physical electric power grid will look a lot like it does today. But the "experience of electric power" is changing rapidly with the rapid deployment of distributed energy resources, smart energy devices as well as new business models and policy changes will impact how energy is bought, sold, used and saved by end customers and utilities alike. Asian Americans in Energy, Environment and Commerce (AE2C) in partnership with Virginia Tech Advanced Research Institute is bringing together an expert panel to discuss the energy transition over the next decade both in the United States and globally.
Confirmed speakers include:
~Dr. Saifur Rahman, Director, Advanced Research Institute, Virginia Tech and President, IEEE Power and Energy Society
~Anand Subbiah, Managing Principal, The Mclean Group
~Eric Hsieh, Director, Grid System and Components, U.S. Department of Energy
Following the event, AE2C will co-host a Happy Hour reception until 7:30 (with cash bar) in partnership with the Korean American Women's Chamber of Commerce at Bistro 1521 (a Filipino Restaurant in the lobby of the Virginia Tech building). More information...
