Tech on Tap: Drone technology is growing up
(Greater Washington DC Metro Area)

Drones are getting sophisticated and capable, shedding their novelty status to become a powerful tool for multiple industries and beginning to move into the framework of traditional aviation. It's time to decide which applications are realistic, which are beneficial, and what regulations are necessary to integrate a unique technology safely and seamlessly into everyday life.

Speaker: Mark Blanks, Director, Virginia Tech Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership, expert on drone technology and policy.

About Tech on Tap: Learning happens everywhere - Tech on Tap - a regular community speaker series that informs, educates, and raises questions about the impact of new technologies on society, equity, and policy. Topics include the types of issues and problems Virginia Tech's Innovation Campus in Potomac Yard will explore.
