Brenda Elsey, Associate Professor of history at Hofstra University, will discuss the content of her recent study: Futbolera: A History of Women's Sports in Latin America. Elsey will speak on topics like the historical policing of women's soccer in Brazil, the role of physical education in reaffirming gender roles in Argentina and Chile, and the historic 1971 Women's World Cup held in Mexico
