Professional Development Workshop: Self-Assessment and Self-Advocacy Tools to Expand Your Career Options, April 9, 1PM

In this 45 minute online session, Jim Egenrieder will guide you to and through tools and resources to build adaptability and flexibility, identify opportunities, make decisions, and build plans for when things are going well or adapt to surprising challenges. Mini Myer-Briggs and other self-assessment tools will be reviewed. And then he'll help you help others (your colleagues, significant others, or your students) do the same.
Dr. Jim Egenrieder is the Director of the Thinkabit Lab on the 1st floor of the Northern Virginia Center and is on the research faculty in the Dean's Office of Virginia Tech's College of Engineering, and also the graduate school teaching faculty in both the College of Natural Resources and Environment and the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. In the NVC Thinkabit Lab, Jim and his team introduce strategies in technical careers and college exploration, and developing and using technical skills and communication skills to over 4000 visitors a year, ages 8 to 80.
