Khadijah Queen is the author of six books, including I'm So Fine: A List of Famous Men & What I Had On (YesYes Books 2017), praised in O Magazine, the New Yorker, Rain Taxi, Los Angeles Review, and elsewhere as "quietly devastating" and "a portrait of defiance that turns the male gaze inside out." Her latest book of poetry is Anodyne, published in August 2020 by Tin House. She is an assistant professor of creative writing at University of Colorado, Boulder, and holds a PhD in English from University Denver.

Lecture with Q&A: This craft seminar explores the structural similarities between poetry and prose as well as the differences discussing how to maximize poetry techniques in prose, how to plan a prose project, strategies for expansion of shorter pieces, and generative writing exercises. Sample authors: Meena Alexander, Kimiko Hahn, Claudia Rankine Charles Simic and others.
