Webinar: Public Policy and International Cooperation in the Era of COVID-19
(Academic)

This webinar, "Public Policy and International Cooperation in the Era of COVID-19: A Transatlantic Dialogue in the Wake of the U.S. Presidential Election," features a panel discussion with Anja Holzscheiter, University of Dresden and Berlin Social Science Center, and Anja Wehler-Schoeck, German Embassy, Washington, D.C. Holzscheiter will examine how decision makers, faced with uncertainty and inadequate information, navigate domestic and foreign policy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Wehler-Schoeck will outline the German government's response to the current pandemic. This is the third in a six-part webinar series titled "COVID-19 in Transatlantic Perspective: U.S. and Germany." The series is co-sponsored by the Campus Weeks initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany; and the Center for German Studies, the Department of German, and the European Studies Program at the University of Virginia. It is organized in collaboration with the German Program at Virginia Tech.
