  Webinar: Creativity and Crisis in the Time of COVID-19

This roundtable features a talk by Dr. Elisabeth Bronfen, Professor of English and American Studies at the University of Zurich and New York University. Following Bronfen's presentation will be three examples of creative responses to the current pandemic by Christian Siegmund, co-founder of 1:1 Concerts; Steven White, a motion designer and artist at Virginia Tech; and William Ducker, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech. This is the final presentation in the six-part webinar series titled "COVID-19 in Transatlantic Perspective: U.S. and Germany." The series is co-sponsored by the Campus Weeks Initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany; and the Center for German Studies, the Department of German, and the European Studies Program at the University of Virginia.
