Music on Mondays: Transient Canvas

Boston-based contemporary duo Transient Canvas presents a free live streaming Music on Mondays program entitled "Crossroads." Featuring mostly electroacoustic music by Avik Chari, Teerath Majumder, Caroline Louise Miller, Kitty Xiao, Charles Nichols, Sydney Doemel, and Dan VanHassel, this program seeks to build connections over vast distances through music that is both energetically engulfing and vulnerably fragile.
Bass clarinetist Amy Advocat and marimbist Matt Sharrock relish the creative potential of working with living composers, having amassed a varied repertoire of over 80 commissioned works in addition to working with hundreds of student composers from all over the world. In August 2017, TC released their first album Sift on New Focus Recordings to rave reviews. KLANG New Music called it "one of the more refreshing things I've heard in recent years."
