Reimagining Policing: Peace Officers and Police2Peace
(Club)

Please join us to discuss reimagining public safety and the future of policing. This event will feature two panelists:

Lisa Broderick, the founder of Police2Peace (national, nonpartisan nonprofit organization that is bringing a new approach to community policing to cities around the country rooted in the idea of police officers becoming peace officers)

Jim Bueerman, former police chief of the Redlands Police Department (California)

Together, they will discuss reimagining public safety, the history of Police2Peace, what a peace officer is, and what it means for the future of policing. The event will include a 45 minute discussion followed by an open question and answer session.

The event is open to the Virginia Tech community and the general public.
