  Women's Rights in Afghanistan  
(Special Event)

In light of the Taliban's return to power, this webinar features a panel discussion of women's status in Afghanistan. This event is a partnership between the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech, the Critical Theory and Social Justice Department at Occidental College, and Women Living Under Muslim Laws, an international solidarity network based in London.

Panelists:
Dr. Farida Jalalzai, Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean of Global Initiatives and Engagement at the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech

Dr. Mona Tajali, Associate Professor of International Relations and WGSS, Director of Human Rights Program and the Middle East Studies Program at Agnes Scott College in Georgia

Dr. Weeda Mehran, Exeter University, England whose area of expertise is Afghanistan with a focus on warlordism, conflict and peacebuilding
