Music on Mondays: Ein Schumann-Abend
(Arts)
Please join us for a night with Robert Schumann. One of the most turbulent and complicated Romantic era composers, Schumann is best-remembered for his piano works and songs. On this program, we will explore Dichterliebe ("A Poet's Love"), Schumann's beloved song cycle that tells a story of love and loss; the tender and joyous Adagio and Allegro arranged for clarinet and piano; and the curious Humoreske, a major piano work not often performed in the United States. Faculty pianist Richard Masters is joined by faculty friend Ariana Wyatt, soprano, and Yevgeny Dokshansky, clarinetist. More information...
